FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I reuse an event once it has expired?
  • Yes, you can reuse it by simply changing its event date. Before you do, click on the "purge registrants" box located in the yellowbar to delete all old registrations.

Can I save an event's registry?

  • Yes, download the registry.dat file. It may be opened using EXCEL with tab-delimited fields. Once in Excel, it can easily be sorted and saved.

If I delete an event, will its registry also be deleted?

  • Yes, deleting an event in the "Edit Events" module will automatically delete all registrants for that event.

Is my data backed up?

  • Ask your systems administrator what their backup procedure and restoration policies are. While most servers back up daily, it is often expensive to restore data that is lost by no fault of the server. We strongly encourage you to regularly back up your data by downloading the events.dat and registry.dat files.

Can I change the event code?

  • Events codes are automatically assigned to new events. Once a code appears in the yellowbar, it may be changed. Events codes must be unique. Codes should never be changed once registration has begun because the "registry" modules match events and registrations using this code.

If an event expires, will I still be able to view it in the Admin module?

  • Yes, "expires" only means that the public can not see the event. You still have access to it and its registrants until you delete it in the "Edit Events" module.

How will I know if someone registers or withdraws?

  • An email is sent to you each time someone registers or withdraws. You may also view the Administrator's module to see the entire registration list for any event.

Why do some dates appear in red on the screen following an edit events submit?

  • Dates in red are expired events.
